Hola chic@s,

Espero que estén bien (I hope you’re well)

This is the subjunctive in action ☝️

‘Estén’ is the present subjunctive of the verb ‘estar’.

‘Espero que’ expresses a wish / hope about something uncertain.

And so the subjunctive is triggered.

I’m feeling extra generous today (slightly unhinged).

So I’ve uploaded the Subjunctive Workshop Recording to my Youtube Channel.

It’s a beast of a topic, but I’ve distilled it down into a digestible format 😘

You can also read the Subjunctive Handbook - a guide you can return to at any point in your Spanish journey.

Share it with anyone you think will find it useful.

Let’s keep supporting ourselves and each other in these trying times.

Un abrazo grande,
Harrison

P.S - “It’s like having a teacher beside you.” This was a recent testimonial from a reader of the Chat Spanish Handbook. You can purchase it here. It’s super comprehensive and took me a sh** tonne of work to put together. I’d only recommend buying it if you’re really committed to learning Spanish.
