It’s been a while.
I hope everyone is well.
Chat Spanish has been quiet for some time, but we will be picking things up come the turn of the year.
For those of you who have followed me from the beginning, you know how much this means to me.
You’ll also know that I burned down 2 years worth of Youtube content…
I’m never been afraid to start again — in fact I think it’s the key to a good and truthful life 😉
Good (or bad) news - I will be firing the channel back up soon, along with the daily quizzes.
In fact, the first video has just been posted.
It’s titled ‘The Call to Adventure’ and it’s a short manifesto that will inform all of the content I share going forward.
As far as I’m concerned, there is no greater gift than learning Spanish, because of the person it shapes you into and the people you get to meet.
It requires tremendous persistence and courage, with regular dollops of embarrassment.
But I find we live in an increasingly performative culture, where we hide these human shortcomings in polished streaks, whilst remaining isolated from ourselves and others.
I really don’t like this.
I hope we can build a community here and do our bit towards changing that.
